He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. Isaiah 53:3-4 NIV
Lord of Life you are my cornerstone. You were despised and rejected. You suffered. You know how it feels to have low esteem; to feel hurt and afflicted. Why do we assume everyone who suffers is being punished, unloved by God? Thank you for building us up. You understand and love the least, lost and left out. Thank you for picking me up and shouting your love! I’m thankful you sealed me with your stamp of approval. You are marvelous! Amen!
