The time is upon us for the Lenten Parade of Victory. The parade will begin Ash Wednesday. As we turn towards Jerusalem, we will visit the train wrecks of our past, shedding enemies of the heart – gossip, shame, guilt, fear, bitterness, anger…doubt. We’ll continue through Holy Week to the cross where we will pick up hope, grace and love. Our journey will end at the Empty Tomb on Easter when the party begins.
This is the official kickoff of our Lenten parade. We have much to be thankful for with Jesus as the Master of Ceremonies. As usual the Holy Spirit offers a hope filled hike through our triumphs over sin.
Sisters of Christ will prepare daily devotionals again this year to keep our pace as we march forward. Don’t forget your party hat. Let’s prepare our hearts and minds for the celebration – AN EVENT NOT TO BE MISSED!
1 Corinthians 13:6-8 (NIV)
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres.
Love never fails.
