Weak Delight

2 Corinthians 12:10 New International Version (NIV)
“That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

Add delight to any word and it sounds like dessert. Did the prophets and disciples know all their weaknesses were going to be remembered forever in your Word? So if we all make mistakes, if we all sin – why is it so embarrassing? Why do I still feel ashamed of mistakes I made over 20 years ago? Why don’t I feel stronger? How did the world become so judgemental, hypocritical and hostile? What happened to love, grace & fellowship?
Lord only you know all truths. Thank you for your saving grace. Help me to continue to walk in your favor. Give me your peace. Help me to endure. Inspire me to love, to be joyful for my weakness. Thankful for your strength. Amen.
