Psalm 131

My heart is not proud, Lord,
my eyes are not haughty;
I do not concern myself with great matters or
things too wonderful for me.
But I calmed and quieted myself,
I am like a weaned child with its mother;
like a weaned child I am content.
Israel, put your hope in the Lord
both now and forevermore.

  1. I love this Psalm. After a disturbing doctors visit I returned home and turning to the bible for strength I opened it to this Psalm 131. I was guided by the Holy Spirit. Thank you God!

  2. Amen! Thank you for sharing it with me so I could post it for all. Lord you know our cares and sorrows. You are always there when we receive bad or questionable news. Sometimes it is hard to see you through our fear. Wrap your strong arms around my sister. Comfort her and let her know she is never alone- You will do all the heavy lifting. AMEN!
